On my own behalf and on behalf of my colleagues, members of the Research Board, their assistants and employees of the Mechanical Engineering Department at the National Research Center, I welcome you, and I hope that you will find in these pages the information you seek about the department and its objectives and research activities. We seek to spread and achieve our scientific mission and to open the windows of communication with local, Arab and international universities, in order to consolidate the relationship, exchange scientific experience and encourage scientific research with all universities in the world.
The Mechanical Engineering Department at the National Research Center with the rest of the Center contributes to solving many industrial / production problems in various scientific fields. Since its establishment, the Mechanical Engineering Department has been one of the most active scientific departments. It has diversified its research activities to solve many of the dilemmas faced by various state institutions. The department boasts distinguished professors from members of the Research Authority in their various fields as well as scientifically distinguished graduate students for carrying out applied researches that directly affect the problems of the state and its institutions through studies, researches, projects and engineering consultancy. Many of these scientific activities have resulted in patents and important recommendations to the productive bodies to improve or increase production quality.
The Mechanical Engineering Department has several laboratories and workshops for conducting scientific research. The department is still working hard to develop, construct and equip its existing and new scientific laboratories to incorporate the latest scientific devices in order to improve scientific research. In conclusion, I can only recall that the role of the Mechanical Engineering Department would not have been achieved without the virtue of God Almighty, the dedication of all members of the department in their work as well as the scientific community support and encouraging, represented in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in general and the National Research Center in particular.
