The Arab International Industrial Conference, under the theme of “Steps towards Sustainable Innovative Development”, organized by the Center’s Engineering Research Division in collaboration with the Arab Organization for Industrial Development and Mining of the League of Arab States, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Economic and Social Committees for the West As well as the Swedish Organization for Development and International Cooperation (SIDA).
The conference is chaired by Dr. Hala Al-Qadi, Head of the Engineering Research Department at the Center, in cooperation with the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organization of the League of Arab States, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the Swedish Organization for Development and International Cooperation The judge said that the presidency of the center has been directed to harness the possibilities to produce this event distinctly, and to provide all possibilities to attend to achieve the maximum benefit from the forum.

The conference is the first collaboration between the National Research Center as the largest research institution in Egypt, the League of Arab States, UNESCO, represented by UNIDO, UN-ESCWA and SIDA. The conference will include a distinguished group of experts and academics from Egypt, Arab and foreign countries, with the aim of highlighting the reality and challenges of the Arab industry and determining future development trends in the region.

Dr. Ashraf Shaalan, President of the National Research Center, stressed the importance of industry and its linkage to scientific research.
